TELL US YOUR TALLAHASSEE STORY:

I think the majority of people my age move to Tallahassee for educational purposes, but I came here because of a job. Ironically, I left Gainesville, the heart of Gator country, only to come work for the University of Florida here in Leon County.

What is your favorite thing about your career?

To begin with, I’m fortunate to have some fantastic coworkers, not just in my office but across the panhandle and throughout Florida. This role also provides me with the flexibility to design the educational programs I offer — which you definitely should check out. Additionally, it allows me to tap into my creative side with online education and social media marketing.

What business or event would you like to see come to Tallahassee?

I definitely would love to have a Ren Faire in town.

What would you say to someone considering moving to Tallahassee?

To be honest, I don’t have any advice to give at this time, since I am still getting to know Leon County. However, my coworkers suggested taking the time to explore the area’s beautiful green spaces—just be mindful of the summer heat. They also mentioned that there are always events happening around town— you just have to keep an eye out for them!
