Tell us your Tallahassee story, what brought you to Tallahassee?
I originally moved to Tallahassee from Fort Lauderdale in 2013 while completing my secondary education. During the start of the school year, I enrolled as a student at Leon High, where I later graduated. Tallahassee was quite different from living in a larger city, and I grew to appreciate all that it offers. With a strong emphasis on educational opportunities, a vast array of nature locations and local parks, it is truly a wonderful place with a beautiful atmosphere.
What is your favorite thing about Tallahassee?
The plethora of opportunities for personal/professional growth and development. In addition to this, the seasonal changes. Due to its location in north Florida, we get to experience more shifts in the environmental temperatures year-round. Autumn is one of my favorite seasons here. Furthermore, from my own personal experiences, Tallahassee has been a very family-oriented place. It’s definitely a “big, small town”.
Are you involved in any organizations other than Access?
The organizations that I am a part of in addition to Access Tallahassee include the Florida State Oriental Medical Association, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Therapeutic Touch International Association and recently the American Red Cross.
