Meet Your New 2020-2021 Access Chair, Philip Browning

Hey Everybody!

For those of you new to Access Tallahassee, welcome! And to those of you who have weathered the virtual storm and are as excited as I am for the return of in-person networking, welcome back! My name is Philip Browning and I have the honor to serve as your Access Chair for the next year. 2020 has certainly been one helluva year, and I for one cannot wait to turn the page and keep moving forward. Not only has COVID-19 redefined what it is to be a young professional by reshaping the way we work, but our community is hurting in many different ways as well. What better time and what better cohorts to come together and have meaningful conversations with than the emerging leaders of our city?

This past year, the Chamber and Access have been focused on the idea that “Talent Lives Here”. At every Access event, I am floored by the magnitude of talent I’m fortunate to find myself surrounded by. Now, more than ever, we have the opportunity to let it be known exactly what our membership is capable of accomplishing. We have all spent the past six months craving the opportunity to come back together and collaborate, and now is the time. Your Access Advisory Council is hard at work, pivoting like we all have been forced to do this year, to plan content and programming that is relevant, influential, and focused on driving our community forward. It’s time to take a break from Zoom and hello to some old friends you may not have seen in a while.

I’m excited about the year ahead and the opportunities we have to collaborate! The next time you’re at an Access event, take a moment to look around the room and visualize all that can be accomplished for Tallahassee with your fellow Access members. Until I see you in person, remember the words of Dr. Seuss, “Why fit in when you were born to stand out?”.
