Stay Informed and Get Involved

ICYMI – Access Power Lunch this month was informative and an encouraging reminder that young professionals hold more power in our community than we think. Devan Leavins and Laurel Harbin with the Tallahassee-Leon County Planning Department mapped out where Tallahassee has been in the past, where we are now, and how to make sure that our voices are heard when planning for the future of our city. “You can’t just show up when you’re against something, you have to show up when you’re in support of something too.” To ensure that Tallahassee is a place that we want to build our careers and start families, it’s critical that young professionals participate in city and county meetings, get involved on local citizens’ advisory committees, and most importantly stay informed.
