Regional Executive Director – Children’s Home Society of Florida

As a key member of the leadership team, the Regional Executive Director will lead a team for the Big Bend/Tallahassee Florida region in executing plans for smart business development and growth, while focusing on program operational proficiency and productivity. A visible leader in the organization and the community, the Regional Executive Director will also embody the CHS Common Bond Values: Caring with Integrity, Respect, Commitment, Leadership and Excellence


The Regional Executive Director provides leadership, direction and supervision of a geographic area and/or a business line for the Children’s Home Society of Florida, with responsibility of up to $20M in operations. The primary focus is to assist with business growth, while managing program operations, leadership development and local strategy in accordance with CHS strategic direction. This important leadership position will include vital functions to the success of CHS, such as:

-Building alliances and partnerships to execute business strategies while effectively managing funder relationships.
-Managing resources within to meet or exceed expectations for budget accuracy and program efficiency.
-Creating and implementing strategies for increasing employee engagement and reducing voluntary turnover.
-Developing and executing annual professional growth and succession plans for the region.
-Driving excellence via demonstrated improvement in program/operational outcomes, achieving minimum compliance scores for Quality and other measures.
-Working collaboratively with Advocacy teams at the state level to help advance the CHS platform and strategy.
-Liaising with local and state Boards of Directors, facilitating their development and promoting their role in advocacy and fundraising efforts.

-Master’s degree in Social Work or Human Service- related field (e.g., Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, etc.) from an accredited university – OR – a non-Human Services related Master’s degree and extensive experience with children and family services and demonstrated management skills.
-Five years of experience in a senior management role, with at least two years of experience in field case work and counseling.
-Demonstrated accomplishment in program operations, including community relations and board management
