Lauren Wallace, Brown & Brown Insurance

Where do you work and what is your role?
I am an Employee Benefits Consultant at Brown & Brown Insurance.

Tell us a little bit about yourself?
I am a 2013 Alumnae of The Florida State University. During my time at FSU I was an active member of Alpha Phi. After graduation, I began my career in sales working as a Client Advisor for Louis Vuitton. And yes, the discount was marvelous! My boyfriend and I moved back to Tallahassee in summer of 2016. Shortly after transitioning to life back in Tally, I started my journey with Brown & Brown. In my role I aid businesses in acquiring, implementing and maintaining a well-rounded employee benefits package, which allows them to attract & retain quality teammates. We are a full service insurance brokerage that offers a local presence with national strength.

Where are you from?
Born in Central, FL. raised in Plantation, FL.

How did you end up in Tallahassee?
In summer of 2016, my boyfriend of six years (now eight!), was placed at Tallahassee International Airport to fulfill his longtime dream of being an Air Traffic Controller. Don’t fret, he’s a FSU alumni as well. Go Noles!

What do you like about Tallahassee?
The economic landscape is thriving, and our city continues to cultivate initiatives that inspire future growth. I think back to my years spent as a college student and how much Tallahassee has changed in a short amount of time. There is a strong presence of fiercely dedicated entrepreneurs in this town. That type of attitude and vigor is electric and creates a huge amount of pride within our community.

What’s at the top of your #TLHBucketList
Eat at every locally owned restaurant. I am a huge foodie. I have a list on my phone of the places I have yet to dine at.

How and why did you get involved with Access?
I became involved with Access when I started working for Brown & Brown. What has kept me involved is the connections made and the impact organizations like Access have on our growing community. There are numerous events monthly, it’s easy to tailor it to your schedule.

What’s your favorite Access event?
Access Day of Action. Not only are we giving back to the community, it is a much more relaxed and interactive setting to get to know fellow members better.
