Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Teller line. Responsible for maintaining an appropriate amount of cash to meet members needs and demands. Ensures Teller line is staffed efficiently based on volume and Tellers are properly trained.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Schedules and monitors daily activities associated with cash operations and the Teller line.
Head Tellers assist in hiring employees for the teller line. Along with the Training Department the Head Teller is responsible for training new Tellers and ensuring Tellers are operating in accordance with Campus policies and procedures. Head Tellers are coaches/mentors working with Tellers to complete their 90 day development plan and performance evaluations.
Performs teller transaction based on the needs of the Service Center. Head Teller should work on the Teller line weekly to ensure Tellers are following operational procedures.
Monitors department activities for compliance with established policy and regulations. Takes action to resolve any out of compliance issues.
Orders daily cash requirement for the credit union. Manages cash vault.
Adheres to and follows all governmental policies and regulations.
Works with and develops cross-selling opportunities for the Teller line ensuring that products and services are sold that benefit Campus members.
