Camp Kesem FSU Looking For Individuals For Advisory Board

In 2010, Camp Kesem FSU held its first free weeklong summer camp program for children whose parents have, or have had, cancer. Along with 85 other campus chapters across the country, Camp Kesem at Florida State University strives to provide children affected by a parent’s cancer with a chance to have fun in a caring community, while developing college student leaders on campus.
In order to reach our goals and develop the most successful program, we are recruiting an advisory board of professionals in the community who work in the areas of development, oncology, cancer care, and youth development. Advisory Board members guide our student leaders in a range of planning areas, from camp programming and camper recruitment to fundraising. Advisory Board members make a one year commitment to attend quarterly meetings, facilitate connections in the larger community, and provide mentoring support on an as-needed basis throughout the year.

Our Advisory Board currently consists of eight members. We are looking to add a couple more members. If interested, please contact for more information.
