Administrative and Payroll Assistant – Thomas Howell Ferguson P.A. CPAs

This position provides general administrative and some advanced support to the Director of Office Management in the Administrative Department. Activities are carried out under minimal supervision. Must be able to work independently or in a team environment. The ability to work professionally under pressure and handle multiple assignments is essential.

Some of the Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Preparation and assistance in the payroll process
Reconciling petty cash
Administration of spreadsheets and reporting
Assist with facilities management
Administrative support to include preparation of internal and external memoranda and general correspondence
Coordinates travel arrangements
Updates all templates, policies and procedures as needed
High volumes of scanning and clerical office duties
Any and all duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

Associates Degree, with at least two years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a professional office environment.
2-5 years prior experience processing company employee payroll is a MUST
Experience working in ADP is a plus
Work requires continual attention to detail, strong data entry and number accuracy
Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels within the firm
Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook
Must be able to handle confidential information
Must understand all office equipment including computers, printers, copiers, faxes and scanners
Typing 50wpm; proficient with ten-key
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands to meet established priorities and deadlines
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to exercise independent judgment
Proficient in Publisher and Adobe is preferred
