William Smith, Capital City Bank
William Smith is a commercial banking officer with Capital City Bank. Born and raised in Tallahassee, and the son of Capital City Bank President Bill Smith and community volunteer Paula Smith, William grew up with an understanding of how important it is to network and become an integral part of the community in which you live.
“I joined Access Tallahassee because it is a good way to meet people my own age, young professionals who also want to get involved in the community,” he said. “Networking with other young people who want to work together and grow professionally is really important. Being around people your own age — on the same learning curve — allows us to feed off each other.”
The program also provides access to key community and business leaders, Smith said. “The speakers show us different aspects of the community. We learn about issues that are beneficial to anyone trying to get themselves established and involved in the community. We are going to be business leaders at some point, and coming through this together is a great advantage.”
